It is a red rash in the form of a ring (hence the name). This is not serious, but is highly contagious, so I suggest we take him to the doctor
Ringworm is not a worm, but an infection caused by a fungus. Doctors call the infection tinea or dermatophytosis.
Treatment of lichen (Tinea)
For most types of tinea, treatment with antifungal agents such as creams, lotions or ointments. However, for widespread infections or those that can hair or nails, an antifungal agent in tablet form (usually griseofulvin) may be taken.
The treatment of small uncomplicated lesions in different regions of the scalp to topical antifungal preparations such as ketoconazole (Spectazole) clotrizamole (Lotrimin, Mycelex), econazole (Spectazole) and miconazole (Monistat-Derm).

Pharmacists should be able to know whether or not TS ringworm. Not dangerous, but it is contagious and can spread rapidly if left untreated. Do not let the strike zone, but if it touches to ensure that hands are washed thoroughly.
